Birdle: wordle for bird-lovers

A word-based puzzle game where the answer is always a species of British bird. This can include migrant and visiting birds, or birds that stay all year-round. Have a go and share with your friends!

How to play

Guess the Birdle in 6 tries. Each guess must be a valid word, the answer will be the name of a bird that lives in the UK. Hit the enter button to submit.

Use the slider at the top to change the length of the Birdle. If you’re stuck, click the ‘get a hint’ button for a helping hand.

After each guess, the colour of the tiles will change to show how close your guess was to the bird.

Examples

The letter R is in the word and in the correct spot.

HERON The letter O is in the word but in the wrong spot.

QUAIL The letter U is not in the word in any spot.

When your Birdle is complete, more information about the bird will appear. All bird information is provided by the RSPB website.
